Run by someone who has been on every side of the transaction.

THE PERSON

SPMex is led by Deniz Uğur Tatlı.

Deniz spent the formative part of his career as a founding team member of Amperino, Turkey's second fully domestic electric vehicle program — a startup that produced an L7-class city EV with in-house developed hub motors, a liquid-immersion battery cooling system that was a first in Turkey, and a fully local software and hardware stack.

Inside Amperino, Deniz didn't just run procurement. He was the operational bridge across the non-technical scaffolding of the company:

  • Company setup from zero — establishing the legal entity, opening the Teknopark office, and structuring the organization in its earliest stage.

  • Cross-functional project process management — including the operational side of the R&D project .

  • International procurement across 30+ countries — sourcing technically complex, regulation-heavy, and red-line categorized components under engineering and prototyping timelines that couldn't slip.

  • Customs and import process design — handling the messiest cases: special permits, sample-stage micro-imports, reclassification disputes, and component-level documentation.

That experience — running difficult cross-border operations while simultaneously building the company that needed them — became the operating template for SPMex.

THE COMPANY

SPMex (SPMEX Ticaret) was built to do for other companies what Deniz used to do inside a startup he was building: take a complex cross-border supply chain off the founder's or operations director's desk and run it as a managed service.

Today SPMex manages €1.5M+ in annual turnover across five active European markets — the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, and Belgium — primarily serving European buyers sourcing from Turkey, and Turkish companies importing complex or hard-to-clear goods.

We also act as a process bridge for companies setting up or scaling operations in Turkey, where coordinating between in-house teams, suppliers, customs brokers, freight partners, and institutional processes is the hard part.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Process is the product. Anyone can promise to "handle logistics." What we sell is the discipline of running it correctly, week after week, document after document, until the goods arrive.

Honesty before optimism. We'd rather tell you a project isn't worth doing than take the engagement and underdeliver.
